The research contest was abandoned when the Grey Sloan Memorial staff accidentally ate pot cookies on the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
Brought in to the presentations by Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), the cookies had been laced with cannabis by a former patient and given away by accident. When they realised what had happened, the contest was postponed and the affected staff contained in a room until the effects wore off.
The interns were ordered to replace the stoned attendings and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) guided Jo (Camilla Luddington) through a risky surgery after Bailey (Chandra Wilson) had to step down thanks to the effects of the cookies she’d eaten.

April (Sarah Drew) accidentally overheard Catherine (Debbie Allen) telling Jackson (Jesse Williams) about the sexual harassment cases against Harper Avery and the cover-up she participated in. She then shared that information with Bailey, who revealed she’d partnered with a sex toy company to make her research device.
Meanwhile Owen (Kevin McKidd) received his first foster kid and called on Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) for help, who brought a stoned Alex (Justin Chambers) to the house.
Elsewhere Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) found out about Harper Avery’s secrets and Richard (James Pickens Jr) fired Dr. Roy (Rushi Kota) after he had an accident during treating a patient due to being under the influence of cannabis.
The next episode of the season is Bad Reputation. The hospital brings in crisis management to help them sort out allegations against Harper Avery.
