Conrad (Matt Czuchry), Nic (Emily VanCamp) and Devon (Manish Dayal) closed ranks to help a colleague on the latest episode of The Resident.
When their co-worker Louisa Rodriguez (Coral Peña) collapsed, the three tried to protect her when they found out she was an uninsured undocumented immigrant. With the hospital administrators trying get Louisa out of the hospital so it didn’t cost them millions, Conrad used his friend Dr. Jude Silva (Warren Christie) to authorise a surgery that would save Louisa’s life.

Meanwhile Barb Olson (Kellee Stewart) was brought in to explain how the revenue streams of the hospital work. Nic caught her out when she almost gave a patient a scan that could have killed him and she filed a report against her.
Elsewhere Lily (Violett Beane) was rushed back into hospital and Conrad and Jude tried to help an alcoholic get his life back on track.
The next episode of the season is Identity Crisis. A mix-up in the hospital results in Conrad informing the wrong family that a patient has died.
