Lily’s (Violett Beane) death hit Conrad (Matt Czuchry) and Nic (Emily VanCamp) hard on the latest episode of The Resident.
An investigation into her death was announced and everyone was surprised how supportive of it Dr. Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes) was, given that they were hoping she would be indicated as causing Lily’s death. Conrad was so upset by Lily’s death that on his run into work he collided with a cyclist and seriously injured himself.

Meanwhile Dr. Bell (Bruce Greenwood) went head-to-head with Dr. Silva (Warren Christie) when an operation on a rich Chinese patient went horribly wrong. Dr. Silva blamed Dr. Bell but it turned out it wasn’t his fault… this time.
Elsewhere Conrad treated his former professor who was hallucinating her dead patients and Conrad and Nic slept together.
The next episode of the season is And the Nurses Get Screwed. Nic comes under investigation in the aftermath of Lily’s death, but Conrad’s attempted defence only makes matters worse.
