Reddington (James Spader) put the task force on the case of an informant who was leaking classified information on the latest episode of The Blacklist.

It turned out he had an ulterior motive as he knew that Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) could be exposed when it was revealed that the man blackmailing him was involved with the informant. Red helped Ressler discover the identity of his blackmailer enabling him to confront him.

Named Henry Prescott (James Carpinello), Ressler had him arrested but Red went one step further and killed him. Red also removed all the files about Ressler so he couldn’t be exposed.

Furious at how far Red had gone, Ressler tried to come clean to Harold (Harry Lennix) and gave him a confession letter. Harold refused to submit it until the task force’s work was complete and he gave Ressler his own confession letter to keep hold of.

Elsewhere Liz (Megan Boone) tracked down and accidentally killed one of the men responsible for Tom’s (Ryan Eggold) murder.

The next episode of the season is Abraham Stern. It’s the 100th episode of the hit show and Red joins a Blacklister in the hunt for a huge stash of cash. Liz heads even further down her dark path.
