Nashville Meets London 2018 announces dates

Nashville Meets London will take place in Canada Square Park on 28th and 29th July 2018 it has been announced.

The festival, which is a free event, brings some of the hottest Country artists from the US and the UK together for two days of fantastic live music. The line-up for this year’s event is being kept tightly under wraps but we can expect to hear more in the coming weeks.

Last year’s event saw Russell Dickerson headline the Saturday night, which was also his first ever live performance in the UK. Lucie Silvas headlined the Sunday night.

The line-up for 2017 also featured Ashley Campbell, Angaleena Presley, Sam Outlaw, Flats & Sharp, Kevin McGuire, Raintown, Wildwood Kin and Jo Smith. Despite the heavy rain on the Saturday, hundreds of people turned out to listen to the music and enjoy themselves.

Many of the artists took part in free meet-and-greets following their performances, signing merchandise and albums for those who queued up.

Nashville Meets London launched in 2016 with performances from Logan Brill, Ty Herndon, Logan Mize, Yola Carter, Megan Oā€™Neill, Pauper Kings, Hannah Rose Platt, Honey Ryder and William the Conqueror.

The event is co-produced by Canary Wharf Arts + Events, Peter Conway Management and Nashville-based agency, The AristoMedia Group. Baylen Leonard, BBC Radio 2 Country and Chris Country DJ, is the artistic program consultant.

Those who want to attend can just turn up any time throughout the weekend. You can take food and drink with you to the event and have picnics with your friends and family while enjoying the music.

If you don’t want to do that, there is a bar on site that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and there are food stalls too. There are also restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.
