Supergirl returned for a third season in the UK last week and it’s safe to say Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) wasn’t in the best of moods.

With Mon-El (Chris Wood) gone, Kara channelled all of her energy into being Supergirl but her anger and attitude upset her family and friends. An argument with James (Mechad Brooks) led to Kara quitting her job and Lena (Katie McGrath) became concerned when Kara continually dodged her.

Bloodsport (David St. Louis) was hired by developer mogul Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar) to wreak havoc upon National City in an attempt to push his development plans through. Kara put a stop to him and made it clear that she knew what he’d done before dumping him on an ocean liner.

Meanwhile Alex (Chyler Leigh) pushed Maggie (Floriana Lima) away ahead of their upcoming wedding. She eventually admitted that she was upset her father wasn’t able to attend the wedding and walk her down the aisle but made the decision to ask J’onn (David Harewood) to do it.

Elsewhere Lena bought CatCo, double-crossing and making an enemy of Edge, Kara started to see straight again after a stern talking to from Alex, and Samantha (Odette Annable), a woman caught up in Bloodsport’s havoc, discovered she had super strength.

The next episode of the season is Trigger. The Girl of Steel might have met her match when she comes up against a psychic thief who can tap into people’s darkest fears.
