E3 2017 UK conference times and predictions

Find out what’s on and when.

There’s just three days to go until the start of E3 2017. The annual Electronics Entertainment Expo is being held in Los Angeles from 13th-15th June.

E3 is the biggest gaming show of the year where the biggest names announce and showoff their incoming titles. We’ve already got a good idea about many of the games that will be at the conference. However, there are always plenty of surprise announcements as well.

As usual many publishers hold their own press conferences ahead of the show. Below we’ve listed the dates and times of each of those confirmed so far:

Saturday, June 10th

EA Play – Electronic Arts – 8pm BST

EA are hosting the first conference of the show this year. We’re expecting to find out more about Star Wars Battlefront II, FIFA 18, Madden 18 and the recently announced Need for Speed Payback.

You can watch the EA Play event below:

Sunday, June 11th

Microsoft – 10pm BST

We’re expecting much of Microsoft’s focus this year to be on their new Project Scorpio console, which should be fully unveiled for the first time.

We’re hoping they give a clear explanation about Scorpio, it’s capabilities and features. Expect a price and release date (our money is on October) to also be announced. Will there also be a new name for the console?

One game we’re definitely getting to see more of on Scorpio is Anthem from EA and Bioware:

In addition to Scorpio, expect plenty of focus on Xbox One and games. Titles we’re hoping to hear more about include Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and Cuphead. It would be great to see plenty surprise title announcements too and we wouldn’t say no to more Halo, Forza and Gears.

We’d be surprised if Microsoft don’t touch on their new Xbox Games Pass service and Backwards Compatibility. Will we finally see original Xbox games added into the mix?

Sadly we’re not expecting Microsoft to launch a Virtual Reality or Mixed Reality headset for Xbox this year.

This year we’re expecting Microsoft’s presentation to run for 97 minutes. It will be available online via YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter and Xbox.com. You can also watch it via your Xbox One console or in 4K via Mixer.

Monday, June 12th

Bethesda – 5am BST

It’s an early morning start for gamers in the UK to see what Bethesda has to offer this year.

We’re hoping to find out more about Quake Champions, Doom VR and Fallout VR and Skyrim on Nintendo Switch. There’s sure to be more about the latest updates to The Elder Scrolls Online as well.

Other titles we’d like to hear more about would be a new Wolfenstein, a sequel to The Evil Within and their mysterious Starfield project.

Ubisoft – 9pm BST

The Ubisoft conference is always one of our favourite ones to watch. This year we’re expecting to see more about Assassin’s Creed: Origins, The Crew 2 and Far Cry 5. Expect to also see more about the latest Rabbids and Just Dance games.

We’d also love to see more about The Division, South Park: The fractured but whole, For Honor, Ghost Recon, Rayman, Watch_Dogs and the long-awaited Beyond Good and Evil 2. Oh and a new Splinter Cell game would be lovely too.

Tuesday, June 13th

Sony – 2am BST

We’re expecting Sony to focus on the PS4 Pro and PSVR this year. A new handheld would be nice but we’re not sure if that will happen this year.

Big games we’d like to know more about include God of War, Death Stranding from Hideo Kojima, The Last of Us Part 2, Uncharted 4 DLC and the long-awaited Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

There’s also Knack 2, Days Gone and Kingdom Hearts 3 to look forward to.

Details from Sony can be on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube, PlayStation.Blog and Facebook.

Nintendo – 5pm BST

With their recently launched Nintendo Switch console we’d expect that to be Nintendo’s focus this year. They are sure to have a few surprise announcements around the console up their sleeves.

Expect to see a lot more about Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and ARMS. We’re sure there will also be some Pokémon games on show as well.

Top of our most wanted list for Nintendo Switch would be a new Metroid Prime game.

EF will be bringing you news on the biggest announcements from E3 2017 throughout the month.
