Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) reunited over Christmas on the latest episode of This Is Us but their happiness didn’t last long.
During the Pearson family Christmas get together, Toby suffered from a heart attack and collapsed as Kate looked on in horror. Randall (Sterling K. Brown) meanwhile had a scary incident during the work office party when a co-worked threatened to commit suicide and was shocked when William (Ron Cephas Jones) revealed that he was bisexual.
Kevin (Justin Hartley) spent Hanukkah with Sloane (Milana Vayntrub) and her family and convinced her to take the lead role in the play she wrote opposite him.
In the past storyline Kate was taken to hospital with appendicitis and the Pearsons discovered that Dr. K (Gerald McRaney) needed support as he lay dying in hospital.
The next episode of the season is The Right Thing To Do. As William spends more time with Jesse, Randall must get used to his father’s new relationship. Jack and Rebecca seek a home that can accommodate three babies.
