On the latest episode of Blindspot, the team raced to stop a series of bombings across New York.

At the start of the episode Jane (Jaimie Alexander) found herself in a strange place after waking up from the drugs given to her last episode by Roman (Luke Mitchell).

She was being held at Sandstorm’s hideout and was called to a meeting with Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) and Roman. They explained they drugged her as they wanted to keep the location secret.

Shepherd sent Jane on a mission with Roman as a test to try and determine if she was still the same person they knew before her memory wipe. Roman took her to see an engineer who had failed to clone a microchip for them.

He locked himself in a panic room but Jane talked him out. Roman knocked him out and tied him up. He then gave Jane a gun to execute him but she refused saying that they should use him again to try and get the chip they needed. Roman executed him instead and told Jane she had failed Shepherd’s test then sent her back to the FBI.

Patterson (Ashley Johnson) managed to hack into some scheduled tweets by the bombers to determine the location of the next bombs. Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and team headed out to stop them and reluctantly took Jane.

They quickly found the next bomb and Reade (Rob Brown) and Zapata (Audrey Esparza) disarmed it by shooting the circuit board to bits. Jane spotted one of the bombers and tried to engage him against Weller’s orders. As she did so the other bomber went to shoot her but Weller killed him first. This alerted the other bomber and in the chaos he escaped.

Back at the FBI, Weller was annoyed at Jane and also at Nas Kamal (Archie Panjabi) who made him take her with them. Patterson tracked down the missing bomber who had taken hostages and was wearing a suicide vest.

At the location Weller decided to talk to the bomber face to face and was made to wear the suicide vest. Just as he was getting through to him the bomber was shot dead by a sniper. The sniper was Nas and Weller was not happy at all.

Elsewhere in the episode, Patterson and Dr. Borden (Ukweli Roach) shared a kiss. Reade also confessed to Zapata what Freddie told him that he was molested by his coach when young but that he didn’t remember.

At the end of the episode, Jane decided to return to Sandstorm and Shepherd thanked her for passing the test. It turns out that Roman lied for her and he explained that he wouldn’t cover for her a second time.

The next episode is If Beth and here’s the official synopsis:

Nas and Weller navigate their new dynamic as co-leaders during the team’s hunt for a museum gala assassin, who turns out turns out to be harboring a dark secret; Jane starts to see a softer side of her old organization.
