Country round-up: Brandy Clark, Jennifer Nettles & more

We’re a little late with our Country round-up this month but we have a very good reason – we’ve been busy bringing you all the latest from C2C: Country to Country 2016, which took place earlier this month.

Now we’re back in business and we’ve rounded up five of the hottest new music videos in Country music. For one our round-up is dominated by women and it seems the movement in the US to get more women on the radio may finally be working!

Keep reading to find out who made the cut this month…

Brandy Clark – Girl Next Door

One of the most talented songwriters, and artists, in the genre right now, Brandy Clark is getting ready to make her major label debut with the release of Big Day in a Small Town. The album is the follow-up to her fantastic 2013 debut 12 Stories. Clark’s latest single is Girl Next Door and it showcases her knack for a witty observational lyric and a strong melody.

Eric Paslay – High Class

Eric Paslay is gearing up to release his second album later this year, his first since his self-titled 2014 debut. The first track from the new record is High Class, which sees Paslay celebrating the luxurious lifestyle that fame brings. Musically he’s grabbing for a bit of Luke Bryan territory and the song is catchy enough to do well on the charts.

Jana Kramer – Said No One Ever

She may have only had a baby two months ago but Jana Kramer is back to releasing new music with new single Said No One Ever. The third track to be taken from second album Thirty One, the song is one of the highlights from the record. It’s got the tough job of following her huge hit I Got the Boy but it’s good a good chance of matching it.

Jennifer Nettles – Unlove You

Sugarland vocalist Jennifer Nettles continues her solo career with the release of the huge ballad Unlove You. The first track to be lifted from her forthcoming second album Playing With Fire, Unlove You is a gorgeous song that perfectly showcases Jennifer’s powerhouse vocal. The accompanying video is visually stunning too!

Josh Kelley – It’s Your Move

It’s been a long time since Josh Kelley released any new music but in 2016 he’s making a long-awaited comeback. His new album New Lane Road is coming this year and the first taste from the album is It’s Your Move. The moving track features a fantastic video that stars Josh’s wife Katherine Heigl. It’s a strong track to lead into his new record and we expect big things.

Come back next month for the next instalment of Country round-up. Let us know which artists you’re loving by leaving your comments in the usual place.
