Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) went from one extreme to the other on this week’s Grey’s Anatomy when it came to dealing with Penny (Samantha Sloyan).
After taking Richard’s (James Pickens Jr) advice, Meredith kept Penny at arm’s length giving her menial tasks to do to keep her out of the way. That led to another confrontation with Callie (Sara Ramirez), which in turn saw Penny argue with both Callie and Meredith.
Elsewhere Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben (Jason George) began to argue about Jackson (Jesse Williams) living with them, Maggie (Kelly McCreary) was less than impressed to find out that Dr. Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) had been hired for her team without her knowledge, and Richard acted as Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) wingman as she got back into the dating game.
The next episode of the season is Things We Lost in the Fire. As a wildfire inundates the hospital with patients, Meredith discovers the reason behind Owen and Riggs’ animosity.
