“Grey's Anatomy” fans in the UK – the wait is almost over as the premiere date for season 21 has been confirmed.
The long-running medical drama recently returned in the US and we can confirm that the new season will debut on Disney+ on Thursday 10th October 2024. New episodes will air weekly and fans can expect 18 new episodes for season 21.
At the end of season 20 Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) went head-to-head with Catherine (Debbie Allen), when her top secret Alzheimer's research with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) was discovered. After resigning from the Fox Foundation, Meredith published her research and Catherine threatened to sue her.
Catherine also fired Teddy (Kim Raver), Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) for their parts in helping Meredith. Bailey (Chandra Wilson) dared Catherine to replace her too, while all of the residents watched in awe behind her. Elsewhere Jo (Camilla Luddington) found out that she was pregnant but hasn't yet told Link (Chris Carmack).
Season 21 will see the departure of Jake Borelli as Dr. Levi Schmitt and Midori Francis as Dr. Mika Yasuda. Kali Rocha will return as Dr. Sydney Heron and Natalie Morales will recur as Dr. Monica Beltran who was last seen flirting with Amelia and climbing out of Winston's (Anthony Hill) bed.
The new season will also welcome the return of Jason George as Dr. Ben Warren, who hasn't been a regular on “Grey's Anatomy” since season 14 after leaving to join spin-off ‘Station 19'. Now ‘Station 19' has ended, Ben will be back in Grey Sloan Memorial with his wife Bailey.
Season 1 to 20 of “Grey's Anatomy” are available to watch on Disney+ now.
