If Kevin (Justin Theroux) thought that moving to another town would solve all of his problems, he was sorely mistaken as proven by the latest episode of The Leftovers.
The episode filled in the gaps explaining how the Garvey family made the move from Mapleton to Miracle. It was also revealed that Kevin is haunted by his part in Patti’s (Ann Dowd) death. He even tried to confess to the local police but they told him they weren’t interested and let him go. After arriving in Miracle, Kevin and Nora (Carrie Coon) found out the house they were renting had burned down leading Nora to impulsively buy another one with the money she received for her house back in Mapleton.
As Kevin struggled to adapt to his new life, he found his sleepwalking issues continued and he found himself waking up in the dirt and water. He witnessed his new neighbours the Murphy’s looking for their daughter who mysteriously vanished.
The next episode of the season is Off Ramp. Laurie and Tom Garvey’s work to rescue lost souls takes a toll on theirs. Laurie seeks to spread the word about the Guilty Remnant’s dangers, while Tom’s infiltration of the cult uncovers a whole new nest of problems.
