After months of speculation Fox’s Gary Newman has confirmed that Prison Break will indeed be returning for a limited series. He also confirmed that Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller are signed up to reprise their roles as brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Schofield.
Series creator and executive producer Paul Scheuring is already writing the first episode. The 10-episode series is expected to be given a straight-to-series order.
The show was last on our screens in 2009 and left us with Michael Schofield apparently dead. The new series is being described as a sequel of sorts but promises to have valid answers to fans questions such as how Michael Schofield is still with us.

Purcell and Miller were last seen working together on The Flash and are also due to appear in spin-off Legends of Tomorrow in 2016.
