The Leftovers got weirder and weirder and a little bit shocking in the latest episode.
Kevin’s (Justin Theroux) blackouts are getting worse and this week he found he’d kidnapped Patti (Ann Dowd) after attacking her with Dean (Michael Gaston). Realising what he’d done Kevin wanted to let Patti go even though she promised to go to the police about what he’d done. Dean tried to kill her and failed. Patti then goaded Kevin to finish what he’d started and when he refused she stabbed herself in the neck with a piece of glass.
Jill (Margaret Qualley) made a bold decision after breaking into Nora’s house (Carrie Coon) and decided to join the Guilty Remnant much to Laurie’s (Amy Brenneman) shock and Laurie took charge of the Memorial Day plan in Patti’s absence.
The next episode of the season is The Garveys at Their Best. Kevin obsesses over a marauding deer in the town and Laurie receives some news amid a rising sense of foreboding.
