BFI London Film Festival starts tomorrow

The première event in the UK film calendar finally arrives in the capital.

The Imitation Game

The 58th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® begins tomorrow and runs until October 19th.

This year also proves to be a star-studded affair with stars and film-makers attending this years’ Festival. Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Allen Leech, Alex Lawther, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Matthew Beard and director Morten Tyldum open the LFF with The Imitation Game.

Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and director David Ayer will attend the Closing Night Gala of Fury. The LFF will welcome over 540 guests – over 170 directors and over 120 actors – representing 248 feature films presented over the 12 day Festival.

Joining the line-up for gala presentations are Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Miles Teller, Taron Egerton, Timothy Spall, Lesley Manville, Dimitri Leonidas, Kim Bodnia, Xavier Dolan and Helen McCrory.

Further actors and filmmakers presenting their work at the Festival include Maisie Williams, Muna Otaru, Benoit Jacquot, Ahmad Abdalla, Terence Stamp, Alba Rohrwacher, Mia Wasikowska, Susanne Bier, Damian Lewis, Andrea Riseborough, Barbara Broccoli, Morgan Matthews, Asa Butterfield, Sally Hawkins, Rafe Spall, Michael Winterbottom, Sophie Okonedo, Antony Sher, George Mackay, John Boorman, Noomi Rapace, Agyness Deyn, Viggo Mortensen, Riz Ahmed, One9 and Callan McAuliffe.

Previously announced guests include Bennett Miller, Steve Carrell, Sienna Miller, Damien Chazelle, J.K Simmons, Jason Reitman, Ansel Elgort, Kaitlyn Dever, Reese Witherspoon, Nick Hornby, Cheryl Strayed, James Kent, Kit Harington, Dominic West, Emily Watson, Colin Morgan, Mike Leigh, Jon Stewart, Maziar Bahari, Alan Rickman, Damián Szifron, Kristian Levring, Jacob Cheung, Nick Fenton, Peter Strickland, Tomm Moore, Brendan Gleeson, Fionnula Flanagan, François Ozon, Jack O’Connell, Randall Wright, Frederick Wiseman, Edwin Collins, Teddy Chen, Donnie Yen, Michelle Bai, Ned Benson, James McAvoy and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
