Tyrant saw the political unrest get worse in the latest episode.
Barry (Adam Rayner) tried to counsel his brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom) to apologise for the chemical attack their father ordered 20 years earlier. He started to think he’d made the wrong decision when a protest set themselves on fire in the Plaza to make a statement.
Elsewhere in the episode Sammy (Noah Silver) was upset with Abdul’s (Mehdi Dehbi) avoiding him which culminated in the two having a frank exchange that could signal the end of their relationship, and Emma (Anne Winters) confided in Molly (Jennifer Finnigan) that she wanted to go home and had a bad feeling about staying in the palace.
The next episode of the season is Hail Mary. As Jamal prepares to throw down the gauntlet on the thousands of citizens gathered in the Plaza to protest his reign, Barry scrambles to put together a summit in the hopes of avoiding violence.
