Banshee season 2 Evil For Evil recap

Tonightā€™s episode saw Lucas (Antony Starr) continue his war against Kai (Ulrich Thomsen) and boy did he step it up a notch.

If you havenā€™t seen the latest episode of Banshee and would prefer not to have any spoilers than stop reading now. If you have seen it and you want to relive all of the action keep reading.

The end of last weekā€™s episode saw Lucas join forces with Sugar (Frankie Faison) and Job (Hoon Lee) to blow up one of Kaiā€™s factories. Well that was just the beginning of Lucasā€™ plans and this week he really ramped up the pressure on Kai. After being confronted by Kai at Sugarā€™s bar, Lucas broke into Kaiā€™s house and discovered his secret room full of illegal weapons. On his way he bumped into Rebecca (Lili Simmons) and a wordless exchange guaranteed her silence.

Lucas then spun a story to the DA about an informant telling him of Kaiā€™s gun collection and managed to get a warrant to search the property. Arriving with his force, Lucas went straight to the gun room and had Kai arrested for illegal possession. Prior to his arrest Kai was beginning to get suspicious about Lucasā€™ interest in Jasonā€™s (Harrison Thomas) disappearance but it looks like heā€™s not acted quick enough.

With Kai behind bars, Deputy Siobhan (Trieste Kelly Dunn) wasnā€™t best pleased with Lucas and she told him she knew the warrant was achieved with lies. It also implicated their actual informant who had been helping them but mentioned nothing about guns, putting her life in danger. Siobhan is right to be worried as Rebecca pointed the finger at the stripper who has been sleeping with Kai too.

Lucas then headed over to see Alex Longshadow (Anthony Ruivivar) after finding lots of information about the Kinaho tribe in Kai’s secret room. He made it known that he thinks there’s a connection between the two but Alex played dumb.

As if that wasnā€™t enough to deal with in one episode, Deputy Emmett (Demetrius Grosse) completely lost control and did something he may never come back from. Last weekā€™s episode saw Emmett taunted by white supremacists and this week the same gang of three returned to wreak havoc. After spotting Emmett and his pregnant wife together in a cafĆ©, the gang bided their time until Emmett left. Approaching his wife they started to spout racist bile telling her she should be ashamed of being with a black man which caused her to strike out. The gang retaliated by hitting her and knocking her to the ground before one of them kicked her in the stomach.

As she was rushed into hospital Emmett was told of the news and ran to her side. Even though his wife survived, their unborn baby didnā€™t and Emmett was angry for revenge. He travelled back to the station and challenged the three men to a fight saying if they escaped he would let them go free. He managed to take all three of them down leaving two injured and one with serious potentially life-threatening injuries.

Lucas and Brock (Matt Servitto) stepped in to try and help Emmett out and concoct a story to put the situation in his favour. Emmett handed over his badge and it was suggested he was resigning and accepting his fate.

Elsewhere in the episode Ana (Ivana Milicevic) and Job had a narrow escape with a heist when Lucas ran into them after they tripped the alarms. He left them go but Brock became suspicious when he saw them run towards Lucas yet Lucas denied seeing them.

Ana spent more time with her family too this week with her son out of hospital and Gordon (Rus Blackwell) trying to get himself straight following his descent into drink and strippers.

Lastly in this weekā€™s episode, Job managed to find out where Rabbit (Ben Cross) was hiding out so we should brace ourselves for a bloody fight in the seasonā€™s final two episodes.

Banshee continues at 10pm Mondays on Sky Atlantic HD.
