The National Youth Arts Trust launched

National Youth Arts Trust, a new charity, has launched to tackle the current crisis in arts education funding.

Notable patrons include Derek Jacobi, Ewan McGregor, Hugh Bonneville, Adrian Lester, Christopher Eccleston, Arlene Phillips, Alistair McGowan and Grayson Perry. The famous theatre names will unite for the new charity.

The charity is currently funding a variety of pilot schemes enabling young people between 7 and 25 from non-priveleged backgrounds to access arts education and training with a mission to build and expand on these over the next three years.

The NYAT is working with both RADA and LAMDA to cover travel expenses for applicants who have shown sufficient promise to be given second and/or third auditions and would not otherwise be able to attend call backs.

For further information and to donate, please visit the National Youth Arts Trust website.
