English National Ballet are to present My First Cinderella, a version especially for young audiences, at New Victoria Theatre in Woking.
Performances are on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April and is sure to be fun for the whole family. Cinderella is tormented by her spiteful stepsisters and longs to attend the Princeās glamorous ball. Abandoned to an evening of drudgery, Cinderellaās Fairy Godmother appears and transforms her into a glittering Princess who shall go to the ball.
Prokofiev’s score is accompanied by narration with choreography by George Williamson.
The My First series brings young audiences their first taste of ballet through the magic of fairytales, captivating music and beautiful dance. ENB2 features graduating dancers of outstanding potential from English National Ballet School in performances produced by English National Ballet.
Children are welcome to dress up as a ballerina, the Fairy Godmother or a prince and audiences are encouraged to clap and cheer, boo the stepsisters, laugh and even try some ballet moves for themselves. The show is shorter than the usual ballet performances making it perfect for kids.
