Sam Palladio releases new single ‘Tennessee’ with Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters

In a thrilling collaboration, acclaimed musician and actor Sam Palladio has dropped his latest single, ‘Tennessee,’ featuring Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett on lead guitar. Palladio expressed his excitement about working with Shiflett, highlighting the guitarist’s ability to blend his signature Foos style with a touch of country flair.

According to Sam, Shiflett’s contribution to ‘Tennessee’ perfectly combines crunchy rock elements with country-inspired guitar melodies. “What Chris did was a perfect blend of his crunchy Foos thing, with a little bit of his chicken-picking country guitar, because his sensibilities are country, and he loves that world,” explains Sam.

Chris Shiflett also shared his enthusiasm for joining forces with Palladio on the track, emphasising their longstanding friendship and shared love for music. “I’m stoked that Sam asked me to throw down some guitar on ‘Tennessee’,” adds Chris. “We’ve been friends for years and have played shows together, so I was more than happy to add a little solo on the track.” Having played shows together over the years, Shiflett was delighted to add his guitar solo to ‘Tennessee,’ enhancing the song’s dynamic sound with his unmistakable talent.

The accompanying music video for ‘Tennessee’ pays homage to Palladio’s dual career as a musician and actor. Set in the backdrop of an imaginary spaghetti western movie, the video stars Candice King from Vampire Diaries as the female lead, with Palladio portraying the male protagonist. Notably, ex-Nashville co-star Jonathan Jackson directs the video, while renowned singer-songwriter and producer Butch Walker takes on the role of Sam’s villainous adversary.

Sam Palladio, originally from Cornwall, rose to fame in America with his role as Gunnar Scott in the TV series Nashville. Despite his success in acting, Palladio’s heart remains in music, rooted in his upbringing as a fan of guitar-driven bands like Incubus and Rage Against The Machine. With ‘Tennessee,’ Palladio delivers a compelling blend of rock-infused melodies and storytelling lyrics, showcasing his versatility as both a musician and actor.

‘Tennessee’ serves as a preview of Sam Palladio’s forthcoming debut solo album, promising listeners more electrifying tracks to come. Stay tuned for further details on Palladio’s highly anticipated album release.
