A few weeks from now Festival no. 6 will open its doors once more and this week the festival has revealed details of its food offerings in 2016. Indeed no.6’s famous long table banquets along the beautiful White Horses promenade on the banks of the river are back with esteemed high-profile chefs.
Festival no.6’s banquets take place every lunch and dinner and can sit up to 200 guests that can share a mixture of communal dishes and other plates surrounded by beautiful landscapes. This year’s chef are Aiden Byrne, Gizzi Erskine and James Knappett.

James Knappett Friday Menu:
Starter
Beetroot, Crème Fraiche, Lemon, Hazelnut, Blackcurrant
Main Course
Lamb Mint, Carrot, Yogurt, Peas

Gizzi Erskine Saturday Menu:
Starter
Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip with warm breads
Main Course
Clambake with Crayfish, Green Garlic Butter, Smoked Salt, Louisiana Hot Sauce
(v) Sweetcorn Fritters with Black Bean Stew, Slow Cooked Egg Feta, Avocado

Vietnamese Coffee and Condensed milk cheesecake

Chilled Pea and Mint Gazpacho with Cured Mackerel and Skyr Yoghurt

Goosnargh Duck Breast, Grilled Blackberries, Turnips and Kale
(v) Baby Artichokes, Semolina Gnocchi, Turnips and Kale

Pistachio Sponge, Raspberry Meringue, Cucumber Sorbet and Poached Peaches
Alongside the banquets the festival has also put together the UK’s finest food and drink pop-ups, which will serve food in the Street Food Village in the Castell Park Arena. You can find specialities from Stakehouse, The Cheese Truck, Dorshi’s Japanese dumplings and Gordans Sweets just to name a few.
Each banquet ticket costs £70 plus booking fee.
Festival no.6 takes place in Portmeirion between 1st and 4th September.Â
