Capaldi is currently midway through his sold-out arena tour, his first in two years, which has seen him debut new material alongside a hit-filled setlist. The response has been electric, with critics awarding four and five-star reviews and fans raising the roof at venues such as London’s O2, where he plays three consecutive sold-out nights this week.

His comeback has been marked by huge success on the charts too. Recent single ‘Survive' became his sixth UK number one and the fastest-selling single of 2025, also delivering the biggest opening week sales of the year so far. The track has helped him join the ranks of Beyoncé, Queen and Drake with six UK number one singles, surpassing artists like David Bowie, Katy Perry and The Police. Performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America further cemented his international return.

One of the standout cultural moments of the year came with Capaldi’s return to Glastonbury, where he drew a Pyramid Stage-sized crowd for an emotional set. Alongside classics like ‘Someone You Loved,' he performed ‘Survive' live for the first time, a triumphant comeback after being forced to cut short his last festival appearance.

Earlier in the year, Capaldi returned to the stage with a series of intimate Scottish warm-up shows in partnership with mental health charity CALM during Mental Health Awareness Week, allowing him to reconnect with live audiences at his own pace.

His most recent album, ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent,' topped the UK charts and spawned three number one singles including ‘Pointless,' ‘Wish You The Best' and the Platinum-certified ‘Forget Me.' The record saw him team up with industry heavyweights such as Max Martin, Malay and longtime collaborator Phil Plested, adding to his reputation as one of the most successful British artists of the last decade.
