Ed Sheeran announces ‘The Play Store’ pop-up in London to celebrate new album

Ed Sheeran is bringing fans even closer to his new album ‘Play' with a special two-day pop-up shop at The Outernet in London. Running on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 September from 11am to 8pm, The Play Store will give fans the chance to pick up exclusive merchandise, explore interactive experiences, and celebrate Sheeran’s latest release.

Visitors to the pop-up can expect a range of limited-edition items, including vinyl and cassette editions of Play, with some signed products available. The shop will be transformed with album-inspired graphics and projections, alongside live screen-printing stations where fans can create their own t-shirts and posters. Other features include a doodle wall for fan messages and a raffle to win custom, hand-painted Nike Air Jordan trainers designed live in-store, paying tribute to Sheeran’s well-known love of sneakers.

Play, released last Friday, was written across the globe and completed in Goa, India. The album reflects Sheeran’s current outlook as an artist, partner, and father, blending optimism with a mix of cultural influences from his travels, including Indian and Persian sounds, while staying rooted in the heartfelt balladry that has made him a household name. The release was marked by the official video for his new single “Camera” starring Phoebe Dynevor and a special NPR Tiny Desk performance.

The Play Store will be located at The Outernet, Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 8LH. Fans can pre-book slots to avoid queues, though walk-ins are also welcome.
