James Morrison has released new single ‘The Man Who Can't Be Loved', the latest track taken from his upcoming album ‘Fight Another Day'.
‘The Man Who Can't Be Loved' follows on from lead single ‘Fight Another Day‘, which was premiered by Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 and B-listed at the station. ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Loved' is the kind of classic, belting piano ballad that fans have come to love Morrison for. His instantly recognisable soul-blues holler is the star of the show: a huge vocal for a huge tune. The stripped-back piano accompaniment pushes the song’s powerful emotions to the fore, while Morrison’s lead is complemented by rousing soulful backing vocals.
Morrison says, “‘The Man Who Can’t Be Loved’ is a song about being in a place where you feel like you're not enough or you're inadequate in loving someone and questioning who you are.”
‘The Man Who Can’t Be Loved’ was written by Morrison alongside Adam James and Kjetil Morland. He also co-produced the track alongside his long-term collaborator Mark Taylor. ‘Fight Another Day', Morrison's sixth studio album, will be released on 3rd October 2025.
Morrison recently announced a short UK headline tour which commences in September. Manchester and London quickly sold-out, while remaining tickets for Glasgow and Birmingham are available at https://www.jamesmorrisonmusic.com/tour.
