Genre-blending singer-songwriter Georgia Webster delves into the intricacies of modern relationships with the release of her third EP ‘Signs' now available for streaming. Addressing the “will they, won’t they” nature of contemporary “situationships,” Webster offers a raw and honest portrayal of dating in today's world through this eight-song collection.
Explaining the concept behind the EP, Webster says, “Relationships without commitment leave one party confused and heartbroken despite reassurances of feelings from the other.” This theme is woven throughout the tracks, showcasing the emotional turmoil and uncertainty that often accompany such relationships.
Webster, a writer on all but one track, shines through her evocative vocals and deep storytelling. From the poignant ‘This Ain’t A Breakup' to the hopeful ‘Wedding Song,' she provides a glimpse into the reasons, or signs, she clung to the relationship, even as her partner sought to leave.
Working with renowned producer King Henry (known for his work with Sasha Sloan, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer, and Beyoncé), Webster developed a mature sound that reflects her cross-genre influences. Her music, reminiscent of artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Kelsea Ballerini, Kacey Musgraves, and Lennon Stella, continues to push musical boundaries, earning her acclaim as she embarks on this new phase of her career.
“My third EP is the best music I’ve made to date and I’m so excited for it to finally be out in the world,” shares Webster. “Working with King Henry was a dream come true, and I think we really created something special. These songs are straight from the heart!”
