Corey Kent drops two new songs as ‘This Heart’ cracks the top 5 at radio

Following the success of his headlining Black Bandana Tour, Corey Kent is charging into summer with the release of two new tracks, ‘Dodge A Bullet' and ‘Poster Child.' The surprise double release showcases two distinct sides of the rising country rocker and is now available on all streaming platforms.

Produced by Chris Farren, ‘Dodge A Bullet' delivers a lighter, more laid-back sound. Built around an easygoing melody and subtle guitar plucking, the track tells the story of a man who admits he can’t escape his own bad habits, wrapped in a tune perfect for long summer days.

The second release, ‘Poster Child,' offers a more personal perspective. Co-written by Kent along with Austin Goodloe, Joybeth Taylor, and Lydia Vaughn, and co-produced with Farren, the song traces Kent’s journey from a kid with posters on his wall to a driven artist chasing big dreams. Blending red dirt country with rock energy and gritty vocals, the track serves as an anthem for anyone determined to follow their passion.

“In anticipation of back-to-back dates with Morgan Wallen in front of the biggest crowds we’ve ever played for right here in Texas, the place that I call home, I’m dropping back-to-back singles,” Kent said. “‘Dodge a Bullet’ is a fun and infectious song that feels perfect for a summer day out on the boat. ‘Poster Child’ is a rock anthem for the folks like me out there who have a dream in their heart that they just have to chase down.”

Kent’s momentum continues to build with his single ‘This Heart' climbing into the top five on both the Mediabase Country and Billboard Country Airplay charts. The track has received praise for its emotional lyrics and powerful instrumentation, with MusicRow Magazine highlighting Kent’s “pleading tenor” and the song's “sizzling electric guitars.”

Currently on the road with Jon Pardi as part of the ‘Honkytonk Hollywood Tour,' Kent will also join Morgan Wallen for two Texas dates on Wallen’s massive ‘I’m The Problem Tour,' marking some of the largest audiences of Kent’s career to date.
