Dierks Bentley embraces acoustic roots on new song ‘Well Well Whiskey’

Following the announcement of his upcoming 11th studio album ‘Broken Branches,' set for release on June 13, multi-platinum country artist Dierks Bentley is leaning into his bluegrass roots with the release of his latest single, ‘Well Well Whiskey.' Out now, the track delivers a high-energy, acoustic-driven sound that recalls the spirit of his 2010 ‘Up on the Ridge' project, and features a standout guitar solo from acclaimed musician Bryan Sutton.

“When I first heard ‘Well Well Whiskey,’ it made me think of my ‘Up on the Ridge' album, which leaned heavily on the power of acoustic instruments,” Bentley said. “There is nothing more fun than turning the musicians loose on a track like this and seeing what they come up with. I definitely see this one making it into our live show this summer.”

‘Well Well Whiskey' is the third release from ‘Broken Branches,' following the success of lead single ‘She Hates Me,' which debuted as the biggest radio release of Bentley’s career. The project also includes ‘Cold Beer Can,' a track that quickly resonated with fans for its relatable storytelling about friendship, family, and resilience. Like its predecessors, ‘Well Well Whiskey' highlights Bentley’s signature blend of heartfelt songwriting and genre-blending production.

Bentley will bring the new music on the road this summer with the Broken Branches Tour, kicking off May 29 in Austin, Texas. Joining him on tour will be rising country artist Zach Top and Warner Music duo The Band Loula. In addition to his music career, Bentley continues to grow his entrepreneurial ventures, including his Whiskey Row restaurant chain, the Desert Son clothing line with Flag & Anthem, and his newly launched bourbon, ROW 94
