Larry Fleet has built his career on hard work, balancing long days pouring concrete with nights spent playing in local bars. Now, as an independent artist, he’s embracing that work ethic once again with the release of ‘Hard Work & Holy Water,' a song that coincides with the launch of his headlining Hard Work & Holy Water Tour, that launched this week in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
“I’m where I’m at in life and my career because of a whole lotta hard work and even more holy water,” Fleet shares. “I’ve had some big changes in my career and life this past year, and I’m living this song every day. It only made sense that this should be the name of my tour and the first song I release as an independent artist.”
Fleet co-wrote ‘Hard Work & Holy Water' with Luke Laird and Barry Dean, a track that he says is deeply personal. “I always try to write songs that are honest to me and something that I’ve either lived or am living at the moment, and this song is where I’m at in my life,” he explains. “I’m very proud of this song – it just feels special to me.”
More new music is on the way as Fleet continues working with producer Trent Willmon in the studio. “I really hope people like it and find their own stories in it,” he says.
Fleet has been gaining recognition for his distinctive style, blending blues, rock, and classic country. Billboard has praised his ability to move seamlessly between genres, and his years of dedication are paying off. He wrapped up 2024 with The Earned It Tour, performing in theaters from New Orleans to Boston and sharing stages with Billy Currington, Kip Moore, Jon Pardi, and Morgan Wallen. He also made stops in Canada and the UK, headlining sold-out shows in London and Niagara Falls. In 2025, he’s set to bring his music to Australia with performances in Melbourne and Sydney alongside Pardi and Zach Top.
Fleet’s live shows reflect his journey, with songs about his time working construction, like ‘Earned It' and ‘Working Man' as well as reflections on his current life, such as ‘Things I Take For Granted' and ‘Muddy Water.' Fans leave his performances with a deeper appreciation for life’s ups and downs, a message Fleet is proud to share.
“I’m really excited about 2025 and all the new music and different projects that I have in the works,” Fleet says. “We’ll be all over the world this year, and they tell me shows are already selling out, so things are looking up and I’m excited.”
Fleet will be joined by special guests, the Kentucky-based duo Everette, for the tour, which runs through May. Tickets are available now.
