Caylee Hammack is bringing a fresh twist to storytelling with the announcement of ‘Bed of Roses,' a romance novel that serves as the must-read counterpart to her upcoming album of the same name. Set for release on March 7, the book follows a young woman’s journey of self-discovery and unexpected love, mirroring the themes of Hammack’s music. The novel, published by Podium Entertainment, is co-written by Hammack and New York Times–bestselling author Carolyn Brown. Each chapter aligns with a track title from the album, drawing inspiration from the real-life stories that shaped Hammack as an artist. Fans can pre-order the ‘Bed of Roses' print book, ebook, and audiobook, as well as the companion album.
“I was a child who grew up on paperback romances stolen from my aunt’s bookshelves. I envisioned each song on this album as a book initially, so writing one to pair with this project felt like a natural move,” Hammack shares. “As creators, we look for ways to connect with our listeners, and this book was a good avenue to tell some backstories of the heartbreak ballads and love songs on this album, while also sharing a new story inspired by the songs after writing them. Life is the bed you make, grow a good one.”
Alongside the novel, Hammack is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated sophomore album, ‘Bed of Roses,' also arriving on March 7. Featuring 13 tracks, the album tells the story of a 20-something navigating love, loss, and self-discovery. With influences ranging from gypsy soul to ’70s twang and red-dirt rock, the album captures a raw, emotional journey. Hammack shares producer credits with industry heavyweights Dann Huff and John Osborne, ensuring a powerful blend of authenticity and energy.
As a preview of what’s to come, Hammack has released a new song from the project, ‘How Long.' A soulful, slow-burning country ballad, the track captures the bittersweet agony of waiting for love to unfold. Fans can listen to the song now and watch the accompanying official music video.
