Joss Ross ties with Tate McRae for JUNO awards as he releases new song ‘Leave Me Too’

Canadian singer-songwriter Josh Ross is starting the new year strong with the release of his latest single ‘Leave Me Too.' Produced by longtime collaborator Matt Geroux, the song is a soul-searching anthem that blends raw emotion with Ross’ signature modern-country-rock sound. Alongside the release, fans can watch a dynamic visualiser that brings the song’s themes to life.

“Kicking off 2025 with a song that stood out to me from the moment I heard it,” Ross shares. “This track reflects on past relationships, acknowledging moments of being difficult to love and understanding why someone chose to walk away—because, in their shoes, you might have done the same. I'm also thrilled to share that this marks the beginning of an exciting project I'll be working on throughout the year.”

The release of ‘Leave Me Too' follows a milestone year for Ross, who continues to cement his place as one of country music’s most exciting rising stars. This week, he earned five JUNO Award nominations, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Country Album of The Year, and the JUNO Fan Choice Award. Tied with Tate McRae for the most nominations in 2025, Ross is the first country artist in over a decade to be a top JUNO nominee.

His momentum doesn’t stop there. The reigning CCMA Entertainer of the Year has amassed over 970.5 million global streams and recently earned his first-ever CMA Award – the Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award. His Platinum-certified hits have dominated Canadian country radio, with ‘Trouble' reaching No. 1 in Canada and earning RIAA Gold certification in the U.S. Meanwhile, ‘Single Again' continues to climb the U.S. radio charts after topping Canadian country radio.

Following his headlining Single Again Tour, Ross will hit the road in March as a supporting act on Jelly Roll’s The Beautifully Broken Great Northern Tour, performing in cities across Canada, including Toronto and Vancouver. He’s also set to play major festivals such as Cavendish Beach in PEI.

With ‘Leave Me Too' marking the beginning of a new chapter, 2025 is shaping up to be Ross’ biggest year yet. Fans can stay up to date on new music, exclusive content, tour dates, and more by joining The Roster at joshrossmusic.com.
