Canadian Country Trio Petric drops new self-titled EP ahead of summer festivals

As the summer festival season approaches, Canadian country trio Petric, comprising Tom Petric, Jason Petric, and Jordan Day, make a triumphant return with the release of their self-titled EP, ‘Petric’ available for streaming everywhere. Featuring their recent single ‘Over A Girl’ the three-song collection introduces fans to the soul-stirring new track ‘Wheels’ and a fresh countrified rendition of the Bonnie Tyler classic ‘The Best.’

Listeners can tune in to Petric here.

“It’s been a few years since we’ve put out more than just a single,” the band shares. “We have some shows this summer that we’re really excited about, and we wanted to get this collection out to bring it on tour! There is lots of energy in these songs, and we hope everyone loves listening to them and singing along, as much as we love performing them!”

A standout on the EP is their reimagining of ‘The Best,’ showcasing Petric’s trademark fusion of rock and country. The track pulsates with vibrant guitars and soaring vocals, capturing the timeless essence of the original while infusing it with newfound country flair.

“The Best is one of the greatest love songs of all time,” they explain. “We have been playing this song in our set for years, and it’s always been a great part of the show. We had been talking about recording this song for a few years, and really love what we were able to do with it in studio.”

Hailing from Manitoba, Petric boasts an impressive track record, accumulating over 15 million worldwide online streams, 12 charting singles, and three Top 20 hits. Their 2021 album “Flashbacks” alone has garnered over three million online streams, opening doors to multiple international markets. The trio has firmly established themselves within Canada, gracing the stages of renowned festivals such as Boots & Hearts, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and the Calgary Stampede.

This summer, Petric is set to bring their new music to festival stages across the country, including appearances at Country on the Bay in Thunder Bay and the inaugural Shake the Lake festival in Kenora, ON, organized by Petric’s own Jason Petric.

As excitement builds for the release of the sentimental music video for ‘The Best’ on May 6, just in time to honour Mother’s Day, fans can stay connected with Petric on all social platforms or visit www.petricmusic.com for the latest updates and tour dates.
