‘Beyond Paradise’ series 2 set to launch this month

Beyond Paradise‘ will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its second series on Friday 22nd March 2024 it has been announced.

The new series will consist of six new episodes, which will premiere weekly on Fridays at 8pm. Along with the launch date, the BBC has revealed the guest case for the new series, which is made for the BBC by Red Planet Pictures in a co-commission with BritBox International.

The new series will see the return of Shipton Abbottā€™s much-loved residents, includingĀ Kris MarshallĀ (DI Humphrey Goodman),Ā Sally BrettonĀ (Martha Lloyd),Ā Zahra AhmadiĀ (DS Esther Williams),Ā Dylan LlewellynĀ (PC Kelby Hartford),Ā Barbara FlynnĀ (Anne Lloyd) andĀ Felicity MontaguĀ (Margo Martins).

Shipton Abbott continues to keep DI Humphrey Goodman and his team busy, with a baffling new crime each episode. From a death on a steam train to a missing teacher, the team have their work cut out. Even more so with Police HQā€™s threat of the local station house closure hanging over them ā€“ the pressure is on to get results.

Meanwhile, Humphrey and Marthaā€™s journey to find their own version of a family continues as they explore the possibility of fostering. Marthaā€™s mother Anne throws herself into the world of online dating, and a well-meant gesture from Estherā€™s daughter Zoe threatens to uncover a long-held secretā€¦

Filmed in and around the idyllic British counties of Devon and Cornwall, series two of ‘Beyond Paradise’ delivers more heart-warming relationship stories and puzzling crime capers. The series is created by Robert Thorogood and Tony Jordan.

Series one of ‘Beyond Paradise’ was the UKā€™s most watched new drama of last year across all channels and streamers.
