Wham! will release special edition colour and black vinyl versions of their original studio albums ‘Fantastic’ and ‘Make It Big’.
Available from 22nd March 2024, the releases are available to pre-order now. ‘Fantastic’ was the duo’s – George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley’s – debut album. It sold millions of copies and featured the hits ‘Bad Boys’, ‘WHAM! Rap’ and ‘Club Tropicana’. Follow-up album ‘Make It Big’, which turns 40 this year, features the iconic hits ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’, ‘Everything She Wants’ and ‘Freedom’.
Originally released in 1983 and 1984 respectively, the albums are pop classics and established the duo as pop icons.
Of the release, Andrew Ridgeley of Wham! said: “It’s a wonderful testament to the enduring nature of WHAM!’s music that our legions of loyal fans and the younger cohorts of music fans desire to own the music in their original formats”.
George Michael Entertainment added: “We are delighted that these two classic albums are once again available on vinyl for a whole new generation to enjoy”.
The release follows a huge year for the duo having released their special The Singles campaign, and unveiled their Netflix documentary, finally seeing 2023 out with their long-awaited Christmas number 1 for ‘Last Christmas’ – 39 years in the making!
