BOWEN * YOUNG welcomes 2024 with rousing single ‘World Brand New’

Nashville-based musical duo BOWEN * YOUNG has ushered in the new year with the release of their poignant and uplifting single, ‘World Brand New.’

The duo, comprised of husband and wife Clare Bowen and Brandon Robert Young, describes ‘World Brand New’ as a universal ode to love in all its forms – be it between parents, siblings, new friends, best friends, first loves, or lifetime partners. The couple invites listeners to experience the soul-stirring track, emphasizing that the song is dedicated to anyone who holds a special place in their hearts.

This latest release follows their 2023 single ‘Water To Wine’ and is set to be part of their debut album, scheduled for release this spring via Snakefarm.

Bowen * Young’s musical collaboration is a fusion of haunting melodies and ethereal compositions, creating a distinctive sound they affectionately term ‘cinematic Americana.’ Clare Bowen, originally from rural Australia, gained recognition in Music City after moving to Nashville in 2012 to portray Scarlett O’Connor in the acclaimed TV show Nashville. Brandon Robert Young, hailing from Connecticut, honed his singing talents from an early age, eventually finding his way to Nashville, where he became a self-taught guitarist and prolific songwriter.

The duo’s paths converged in 2013 when Young stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Bowen’s absent duet partner. Since then, their musical partnership has flourished. Bowen has shared the stage with luminaries like Vince Gill and Zac Brown Band, while Young spent a decade touring with John Hiatt and collaborating with industry heavyweights like Emmylou Harris, Colin Linden, and Mikky Ekko.

BOWEN * YOUNG made their UK debut last July, gracing the stages of British Summer Time in Hyde Park alongside Billy Joel and Daryl Hall, as well as headlining their show at Omeara in London. They are scheduled to perform at the second Highways Festival at The Royal Albert Hall on May 17th.

Currently in Australia, BOWEN * YOUNG is gearing up for a series of headline shows. For more details and a comprehensive list of their upcoming tour dates, visit bowenyoung.com.
