Billy Joel set to play first Cardiff show in 2024

Billy Joel is set to play his first ever show in Cardiff next year, which will be his only European show of 2024.

Taking to the stage at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on Friday 9th August 2024, Joel will be joined by special guest Chris Isaak. Tickets for the one-off show will go on sale on 15th December.

One of the most successful musicians in the world, Joel has enjoyed 33 Top 40 hits including ‘Piano Man’, ‘It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me’, ‘Tell Her About It’ and ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire’. Joel began Madison Square Gardenā€™s first-ever music franchise in January 2014 that continues to this day, performing one show at The Garden each month. The record-breaking residency will end in July 2024, a little more than 10 years after it first began, marking Joelā€™s 150th lifetime show which have all sold out at the venue.

Joel was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by his idol Ray Charles in 1999. He has received the RIAAā€™s Diamond Award twice for ‘Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II’ and ‘The Stranger’, presented for albums that have sold over 10 million copies, He is the recipient of six GRAMMY Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Legend Award. Joel has been inducted into the Songwriterā€™s Hall of Fame.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 15th December at 10am and presale registration is now open via aegpresents.co.uk.
