‘Neighbours’ viewers have been rooting for Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) and Haz (Shiv Palekar) to get together but obstacles keep getting in their way.

Mack has been struggling to move on from the death of her husband Hendrix Greyson (Ben Turland) but she had started to show some interest in housemate Haz. Just as she was getting ready to make her move, Mack decided to take a step back when Haz introduced new girlfriend Billie (Georgia Walters) but that relationship didn’t last long when Billie mistreated Haz’s dog Trevor.
Along the way Mack saw a glimmer of hope for love when she met Eden (Costa D’Angelo), unaware that he’d previously been involved with Holly (Lucinda Armstrong Hall). That came to an abrupt end when Eden stole Mack’s belongings and she almost lost her treasured wedding ring.
While Mack and Haz have been dancing around one another, it’s Holly that’s decided to make the move on Haz. First she flirted shamelessly with him after he saved her during an encounter with Eden, and then her affection for him grew when the two teamed up to take Eden down.
With Mack out of the house following a boozy celebration between the trio, Holly freaked out when she received a text message from Krista (Majella Davis) after she realised she could very easily have been taken advantage of by Eden (we still have big questions about THAT Krista twist). Breaking down in tears, Holly was comforted by Haz and suddenly the two were locking lips. It didn’t stop there, Haz carried Holly into his bedroom!
Now Holly and Haz have hooked up, and the previews for upcoming episodes show that the hook-up doesn’t stay secret, we have to wonder if Mack is heading for heartbreak once again? She’s struggled to let herself fall for anyone since losing Hendryx but her growing closeness with Haz was starting to show promise. So, is there a love triangle on the way?
It sure looks like it but whether Haz feels the same way about Holly as she does about him remains to be seen. When Mack finds out, which looks likely to be in the next episode, she’s going to be forced to face up to her feelings for Haz and weight them against her friendship with Holly. Mack is a decent person so we can’t see her making a play for Haz while he’s with Holly, but you never know when feelings come into play.
