Showcase Cinemas are bringing 13 festive favourites back to the big screen this Christmas.
FromĀ snowstopping rom-coms to classic comedies, Showcase Cinemas is giving guests the gift of film this season, with 13 Christmas favourites screening across November and December.
āTis the season for romance this winter, as the ensemble cast return to the big screen inĀ ‘Love Actually’Ā in celebration of the filmās 20thĀ anniversary (from 24th November). In the mood for more rom-coms? Unlucky in love Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet embark on a transatlantic journey to escape heartbreak inĀ ‘The Holiday’Ā (from 8th December).
Also celebrating its 20thĀ anniversary this year – the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear –Ā ‘Elf’,Ā the Will Ferrell favourite, celebrates the milestone by returning to Showcase Cinemas from 1st December.
For more family favourites, cinemagoers can take a trip to Christmas Town with Tim BurtonāsĀ ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’Ā (from 25th November), enjoy a comedic spin on the Charles Dickens classic withĀ ‘The Muppetās Christmas Carol’Ā (from 2nd December), embrace the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss inĀ ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’Ā (from 3rd December) and discover the secrets behind Santaās covert operation inĀ ‘Arthur Christmas’Ā (from 10th December).
Nothing says Christmas like Catherine OāHara screaming āKevin!ā; beloved family favouriteĀ ‘Home Alone’Ā will also take to the big screen this holiday season from 15th December.
But what is Christmas without the classics?! Often cited as one of the greatest festive flicks of all time, 1946āsĀ ‘Itās a Wonderful Life’Ā will be screening from 9th December, joining the likes ofĀ ‘Miracle on 34thĀ Street’Ā (from 26th November), musical favouriteĀ ‘White Christmas’Ā (from 25th November) and, with a brand new 4k restoration,Ā ‘Santa Claus: The Movie’Ā (from 9th December).
And finally, the hotly debated Christmas film,Ā ‘Die Hard’ hits the cinema once again. Buckle up and enjoy the thrills as NYC cop John McClane (Bruce Willis) battles the odds against Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) from 9th December.
