Track45 – siblings Ben, Jenna and KK Johnson – has released angsty new breakup track ‘Hate Me’ via Stoney Creek Records.
Written by the trio with Hunter Phelps (Chase Rice, Cole Swindell), ‘Hate Me’ was co-produced by the band with Jason Hall (Little Big Town, Orville Peck).
āWe wrote this song as a musical slap in the face to help KK get over a guy she was hung up on,ā says Track45. āThis is the perfect song to scream-sing in your car to that person you wish would hate you so itās easier to move on.āĀ
‘Hate Me’ is the groupās first release since ‘Family’, an original country-leaning version of a song that the siblings wrote in 2021 for David Guetta, who recorded it alongside Bebe Rexha, Ty Dolla $ign and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. The group was inspired to release its unique version after snippets of the song gained more than 2.1 million views on TikTok.
This Sunday (12th March), Track45 will perform the National Anthem at the SEC Basketball Championship Game in Nashville, TN.Ā
Track45 got its name from the siblingsā hometown of Meridian, MS, where they honed their love for and skill of creating music. Now based in Nashville, TN, Track45 is signed to BBR Music Groupās Stoney Creek Records.
Last year, the band signed a booking deal with United Talent Agency (UTA). Over the years, Track45ās Ben has become one of Music Cityās most sought-after songwriters. He wrote five No. 1 songs in 2022 alone and received a GRAMMY nomination for his role in co-writing Weezerās ‘All My Favorite Songs’. He was also honored last week at the CMA Triple Play Awards for his three #1 songs on country radio in the last year.Ā
