Landon Parker has unveiled his emotional new track ‘Your Baby Girl’ along with the tear-inducing music video.
The emerging singer-songwriter explores a father’s love for his daughter as he approaches his second wedding anniversary on 13th March. The family-focused ballad delivers a heartwarming message written by Parker with Matt Nolen and Skip Black.
‘Your Baby Girl’ is a tribute to Parker’s wife McKenzie and her father. Parker performed the song at his March 2021 wedding, honouring the father-daughter dance and a true circle-of-life moment.
A touching new video captures that scene forever, mixing real wedding footage with tuxedoed performance shots and home video of McKenzie as a child – plus the opening of another chapter in the story.
“The whole song is me talking to her dad, saying thank you for bringing an angel into the world,” Parker explains in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. “We wrote that song fairly fast because it was right there, right in front of us.”
‘Your Baby Girl’ follows the release of Parker’s ‘The Acoustic Sessions, Vol 1’ in February and his 2022 EP ‘Hits Home’ via Bad Ass Records.
Last year, Parker appeared at major festivals like TidalWave, SummerFest and CMA Fest, and looks to continue gaining ground with upcoming stops on Tyler Booth’s ‘The Real Real Country Tour’ 27th – 29th April, Key West Songwriter Festival 3rd – 7th May, Watershed Music Festival on 5th August and more.
