Launching in 2021, ‘Chucky’ brought the iconic killer doll to the small screen as he targeted closeted teenager Jake (Zachary Arthur), his cousin Junior (Teo Briones), and their friends Devin (Bjƶrgvin Arnarson) and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) in Hackensack, New Jersey.

The first two seasons of the show have connected to the long-running film franchise with stars including Jennifer Tilly, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise and Fiona Dourif reprising their roles as well as Brad Dourif returning to voice Chucky aka notorious killer Charles Lee Ray.

During season two of the show Jake, Devin and Lexy were shipped off to a Catholic school following the blood-soaked antics of the first season. Once there, Chucky sought them out to get his revenge and the three friends had to work together to get rid of him once and for all.

Of course, no one ever really gets rid of the infamous killer and the season ended with Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) having kidnapped Lexy’s younger sister Caroline (Carina London Battrick). After receiving a threatening phone call from Nica (Fiona Dourif), Tiffany discovered that Chucky had put his soul in the last remaining Belle doll and he attacked her.

While details about the third season have yet to be released, it is expected that all the surviving characters will be back and that the season will once again consist of 8 episodes.

Originally introduced in the 1988 film ‘Child’s Play’, the red-headed doll has gone on to slaughter his way through seven films. The character was rebooted in 2019 for the poorly received ‘Child’s Play’, with fans opting to stick to the real thing rather than an updated knock-off.

‘Chucky’ airs on Syfy in the US and Sky Sci-Fi and NOW in the UK.
