The first poster for ‘Scream‘ aka ‘Scream 5’ arrived online last night and it puts the franchise’s Ghostface in the spotlight.
Taking a simple approach, and showing no members of the cast, the post features a side shot of the Ghostface mask and you can see the killer holding his trademark knife. The tagline reads ‘It’s always someone you know’, suggesting that fans of the franchise may have already met the killer.

‘Scream’, due for release on 14th January 2022, sees original cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette reprising their roles as Sidney Prescott, Gale Riley (previously Weathers) and Dewey Riley respectively.
Also returning are Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks and Roger L. Jackson as the voice of Ghostface.
New cast members include Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ben Ammar, Mikey Madison, Mason Gooding and Kyle Gallner.
The new film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
The trailer for the film leaked online yesterday but was quickly taken down by Paramount. Fans are speculating that it will arrive officially this week in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the original film.
