1. Nini and Ricky performing ‘Breaking Free’ together

The will they or won’t they of Nini and Ricky’s relationship came to a head in the season finale ‘Act Two’. Ricky pulled out of the role of Troy after seeing his mother’s new boyfriend in the audience during the first act and asked E.J. to step in. When it came to performing the iconic ‘Breaking Free’, E.J. encouraged Nini to sing it with the Troy she wanted, which was Ricky. The couple reunited on the stage and shortly after they agreed to rekindle their relationship.
