Rape revenge horror ‘Violation’ is coming to Shudder on 25th March 2021.
Written and directed by Madeleine Sims-Fewer (‘Operation Avalanche’) and Dusty Mancinelli, ‘Violation’ stars Sims-Fewer, Jesse LaVercombeĀ (‘American Gods’),Ā Anna MaguireĀ (‘The Hummingbird Project’) andĀ Obi AbiliĀ (’21 Bridges’).
‘Violation’Ā is a turbulent feminist revenge fable that explores the idea of trauma within families and untangles a sticky web of resentment as a troubled woman on the edge of divorce embarks on a vicious crusade when her sister and brother-in-law betray her trust. Highly focused on a naturalistic performance style and visual aesthetic, directors Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelliās work explores gender politics, selfishness, and abuse of power, and is cinema at its most provocative.
