Roblox expands user generated catalogue

A very important part of playing Roblox is how your avatar looks. After all, it’s supposed to be a representation of yourself in the game. Some people try to make their avatar look as close to their real-life selves as they can whilst others like to delve into the realms of fantasy dressing as robots, dinosaurs or wizards. For a while now Roblox has allowed users to make and sell shirts and pants within the game and are looking to expand on this.

From the official blog post:

“When you have a groundswell of talented people coming to Roblox every day to unleash their wildest imaginations upon the world, great things happen. A huge focus for us this year is to enable those gifted creators to bring more of their content to the Catalog. Not just shirts and pants, but ultimately accessories, animations, bundles, and more.”

The first step on this journey is hats. Selected community members have already been publishing their own designs which you can find under the new community creations category in the catalogue.

Looking at the page there are already thirty community creations which range from sparkly cat ears and an Area 51 alien with loads of variety in between.

I for one think more customisation options are a great idea so that people can put a firm stamp on their identity within the game.
