The Surge 2 is an action-RPG from developer Deck13. Looking to follow up the success of The Surge you can expect crushing difficulty, epic melee-based combat and lots of upgrade options as you progress. Clearly inspired by games such as Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, The Surge 2 is shaping up to be a bigger and better outing than The Surge.

Deck13 have released a new video, lasting almost nine minutes, showing and explaining gameplay mechanics. Narrated by Adam Hetenyi, Head of Design at Deck13, we see a journey across Jericho City, a devastated quarantine area. The areas in The Surge 2 are much larger than before and offer greater scope for bigger battles.

The Surge 2 also supports asynchronous multiplayer battles and drones. Boss battles have also been taken up a notch as Deck13 and in the video, we get our first look at the Delver Echo boss, who can be sliced apart by targeting various body parts.

The Surge 2 will be released on 24th September, 2019 and is available to pre-purchase now on Steam. Check out the official website for more information on the game.
