Texan singer-songwriter Wade Bowen will release his eleventh studio album ‘The Version of Me You Get' on 25th September 2026 via Thirty Tigers.
The 10-track record is co-produced by Bowen alongside longtime friend and fellow artist Sean McConnell. The album will show fans an unexpected side of Bowen filled with gritty, vulnerable lyrics and a rootsy, soulful sound. Pre-order the album, vinyl, and limited-edition items at https://wadebowen.ffm.to/tvomyg-eu.
‘The Version of Me You Get' features songs that reflect Bowen's upbringing and lifestyle. The record had been archived until now, and Bowen is ready to share it with the world.
“I didn’t really know what I was looking for when I first made this record. When it was finished, life picked up, and other plans came together. The timing never quite lined up, and it just sat there,” shared Bowen. “It wasn’t until recently that I pulled it back out. Honestly, it felt more relevant than it did back then. The last few years – personally and career-wise – made the songs land in a different way. Like I was hearing them for the first time. There’s a lot on this record – love, struggle, redemption, vulnerability. I’m glad it finally found its time.”
Bowen has also released the second single off the project titled ‘People Like Us'. The whiskey-slow, twangy track highlights the humble family values that Bowen was raised on and his “down home” way of living, as the chorus sings, “The only thing we wanna own us, a little piece of land and a handshake you can trust. Yeah, people like us.”
“People Like Us” follows Wade’s recently released reflective single ‘Rain', which continues to build strong momentum at radio and across the Country and Americana charts.
