Cheryl is back with her new single Let You and today she’s unveiled song and the music video.
Let You is produced by Mike Spencer (Rudimental, Zara Larsson, Tom Walker) and it’s an 80s throwback electro-pop banger. Watch the video below:
The song was written as a result of conversations with Cheryl and her friends about men and relationship patterns.
As Cheryl explains, “I loved this song from the moment we wrote it in the studio. I knew I had to release it! I’ve made mistakes in relationships. I’ve been with men who were controlling, who made me unhappy, but I allowed it to happen. That’s what this song is about. You have to recognise it, and you have to try and not let it happen again.”
Let You is the follow-up to 2018’s Love Made Me Do It and is the singer’s 12th solo single. It’s unclear at the time of writing if Cheryl has a new album on the way or if she’s just going to be dropping singles for the foreseeable.
To date Cheryl has scored five number one singles – Fight For This Love, Promise This, I Donāt Care, Crazy Stupid Love and Call My Name – and released four studio albums – 3 Words, Messy Little Raindrops, A Million Lights and Only Human.
Cheryl has the second most No.1’s for a solo British female artist. She’s been a judge on The X Factor and more recently was on the panel of BBC One’s The Greatest Dancer.
