The campaign for Madonna‘s 14th studio album Madame X has well and truly kicked off, with the countdown for the music video for lead single MedellĆn whipping fans into a frenzy.
Madonna has teased the music video, which debuts during an MTV special on 24th April, on her social media channels. The clip sees Madonna taking on various guises, staying true to her Madame X theme, and getting up-close and personal with Maluma, who features on the track.
Take a look at the teaser below:
From what we can tell from the short clip, it looks as if Madonna may be acting as a Cha Cha teacher to Latin superstar Maluma. There’s also shots of her riding a horse, echoing the matador feel of Living For Love, and there’s a little bit of religious imagery thrown in there for good measure.
We’ll have to wait until 24th April to see the video in full but it’s safe to say it’s going to be another epic visual to add to the icon’s already huge collection.
MedellĆn has proven to be a hit with fans already and even (shock horror) the critics are loving it.
Earlier this week Madonna and Maluma unveiled MedellĆn on Apple Music’s Beats 1 with Zane Lowe. Madonna also released the details of her new album Madame X, which is due for release on 17th June 2019.
