As a review of the hospital’s handling of the quarantine began, Shaun (Freddie Highmore), Lea (Paige Spara) and Glassman (Richard Schiff) spent their day together. They had lunch then went go-karting, which prompted Glassman to stop avoiding his treatment as he made the decision to have intensive chemotherapy.
Meanwhile Claire (Antonia Thomas) and Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) met for drinks but the tension between the two threatened to ruin the day. Claire was called away to help her mother and was surprised when Morgan offered to help. They found that Claire’s mother had lied about being beaten by her boyfriend because she didn’t want to turn down his marriage proposal.
Elsewhere Park (Will Yun Lee) reconnected with his ex-wife and they agreed to try and work through their problems while Lim (Christina Chang) and Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) clashed before admitting they had feelings for each other.
Also the hospital review recommended suspending the licences of Shaun, Lim and Melendez for their behaviour during the quarantine.
The next episode of the season is Xin. Shaun helps treat a woman with autism and a delicate brain condition while navigating the complicated relationship she has with her roommate.
